FORCE Technology

 

 

FORCE Technology is an independent, non-profit, knowledge and technology-based R&D organisation and service provider, which offers development, consultancy and other services in the following areas: Optimization of production and processes; Materials utilization, protection and analysis; Maritime technology; Inspection, testing, calibration, verification and certification; Sensor technology development and application; Management systems optimization and development.  FORCE Technology has departments located all over Denmark, has 100% owned daughter companies in Sweden and Norway, and has representations in Houston, Rio de Janeiro, St. Petersburg and Leiden. FORCE Technology employs a total of about 1.000 people.  The Division for Maritime Industry is based in Lyngby just outside Copenhagen, Denmark. The division has four departments, of which three have an interest in the AZIPILOT proposal, viz:

  • The Simulation and IT Department, which is developing and marketing part task and full mission simulators.

  • The Hydro- and Aerodynamics Department, which develops the mathematical models of ships for the simulators.

  • The Training, Ports and Human Factors Department, which performs training of navigators and engineering studies using the simulators.
